In the fast-evolving world of telematics and fleet management, technology is the backbone of service delivery—and with it comes the responsibility to protect sensitive customer and operational data at scale. Since 2018, we’ve partnered with a global technology company in this space, helping them navigate a period of rapid growth, cloud adoption, and, more recently, corporate integration following a major acquisition.

When we first engaged, the business was operating under a different name and was still in a scaling phase. Without a dedicated internal cybersecurity team, they recognised the growing risks to their business and took a proactive step in seeking external expertise. Our engagement began as a recurring weekly security advisory service, providing guidance across foundational controls such as identity and access management (IAM), endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.

As our relationship developed, we broadened our focus to support their evolving infrastructure, including an architectural transition to Microsoft Azure. This shift introduced new opportunities—and new risks. Our role expanded to include secure architecture reviews, cloud security optimisation, and aligning their controls with industry standards.

In parallel, we also assisted in managing their compliance obligations, including the ongoing maintenance of their ISO/IEC 27001 certification. Our consultants provided guidance and operational support to ensure that security policies, risk management processes, and privacy practices met the expectations of international clients and regulatory bodies alike.

One of the most strategically important areas of support has been the 24/7 monitoring of their large-scale Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment hosted in AWS. With customers relying on their platform for real-time data and operational continuity, our SOC ensures continuous visibility and threat detection across their cloud infrastructure, with rapid response capabilities in place to contain and mitigate incidents.

In 2023, the company underwent a major transformation following a global acquisition and merger. This change brought together multiple large and complex IT environments, each with its own unique risks, technologies, and operational models. Our team was instrumental in supporting the integration effort from a cybersecurity perspective—ensuring consistency, visibility, and control across the new combined estate.

As part of this consolidation, our ARMADA service was adopted as the global standard for security monitoring and incident detection. ARMADA now serves as the de facto SIEM platform across all entities, fully integrated into our 24/7 SOC and capable of scaling alongside their continued growth. This approach ensures a unified view of threats and incidents worldwide, regardless of geography or platform.

Today, we remain embedded in their security operations—providing strategic guidance, day-to-day support, and continuous improvement across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Our relationship has evolved from advisory to embedded partnership, and the client’s growing maturity is a reflection of years of steady investment in security fundamentals.

This case exemplifies how early-stage advisory services can scale into a globally integrated cybersecurity capability, built to support growth, cloud innovation, and corporate transformation—all while keeping customer trust and data protection front and centre.
